TRC Companies, Inc., an international environmental services company, is seeking qualified on-call field technicians to work in New Mexico and adjoining states.

Qualified professional will be supporting all types of archaeological field projects, ranging from small local surveys through large, multi-state projects.

In addition to fieldwork, duties may include background research, regulatory consultation, analysis, and reporting.

Currently we are needing experienced environmental monitors for long linear transmission line projects.

A broad background in cultural, biological, and SWPPP monitoring is highly desired.

The Archaeological Field Technician will work closely with other TRC archaeologists, environmental staff, permitting specialists, and managers in TRC's Planning, Permitting, and Licensing (PPL) practice.

We are seeking professionals enthusiastic about his/her work with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence.

The successful candidate will enjoy the challenges of working alongside others in a fast-paced environment while helping to develop effective solutions to both expected and unexpected project challenges.


One or more years of progressive experience with archaeological survey and excavation projects in New Mexico or adjoining states

Experience in environmental monitoring including cultural, biological, SWPPP highly desired

Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills

Familiarity with digital field technology (GPS, tablets, total station, etc.) and GIS applications and software (Collector, Fulcrum)

A commitment to quality and safety

Will be required to walk long distances, and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments and conditions (i.e. steep terrain, heat, cold)

Will require travel away from the home office location.
