The EP Tech II assists in all procedures performed in the EP area. The EP Technologist provides a safe patient care environment that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing cardiac procedures. The EP Technologist maintains and operates the physiological systems, assists physicians during the procedures, and performs unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment. The EP Technologist demonstrates the ability to function in all of the positions with the exception of nursing. Essential information is shared through documentation and verbal communication.
4 ten hour shifts per week, no call
Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus
Preferred: Two years EP or Cath Lab experience, performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures
Required: Graduate of Cardiovascular Technology program or Radiological Technology program
Licenses and Certificates:
BLS and ACLS Certifications from the American Heart Association
RCIS certification from applicable accreditation body - Required within 6 months
If Radiologic Technologist:
Certified Texas Department of Health Medical Radiologic Technologist and Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; if hired prior to 4/13/12 and been performing x-rays since 1987 AND was grandfathered in by the state of Texas, only CMRT required. - Required Upon Hire
Preferred: Certified Cardiovascular Technologist-Invasive. RCES Certification from applicable accreditation body.
