Come join us and help shape the future!WSP is currently initiating a search for a Hydraulic Engineer for our Austin, Texas office.Duties and Responsibilities:• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis to support the design of storm sewer systems and stormwater management facilities for transporation (highway/roadway and rail) projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design• Prepare H&H related plans, reports, detail drawings, project specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates (from preliminary schematic to PS&E)• Coordinate with other design disciplines, including roadway, structures, utilities and right of way• Meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements for assigned tasks• Support engineering project teams by attending project meetings and interacting with clients, officials, contractors, and other stakeholdersTalent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. If this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to have that first discussion of you joining our team.Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:• 4 years of related experience in Transportation Design.• Experience with TxDOT or Local Government (City or County) associated with Transportation Projects.• Applied knowledge and understanding with TxDOT H&H Manual and Design.• Texas Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain Texas P.E. within 6 months required.• Minimum of (3) years of direct experience in design and plan production is required (PS&E).• Minimum of (3) years of direct experience with Microstation and Geopak Drainage or InRoads Storm and Sanitary.• BSCE from an accredited program is required.• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.Preferred Qualifications• Experience with Bentley OpenRoads. Exposure to StormCAD for OpenRoads (SUDA) is a plus.• Experience with ArcMap, XPSWMM/PCSWMM, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.• Roadway and H&H Design experience for roadway/highway projects.• Prior exposure to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) rules and permitting.• Active participation in relevant engineering societies and professional associations.About WSP USAWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
