Position Description:

Candidate should be proficient in classical static strength hand analysis, Fatigue analysis, and drawing review. Should be able to develop and document detailed structural analyses in support of drawing release or aircraft repairs including but not limited to free body diagrams, internal or external loading, shear and moment diagrams, and calculation of internal stresses. Analyses will be in support of Material Review Board (MRB), modifications and installations, Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) and fleet management activities. Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs), helicopters, and nonstandard repair, equipment and antenna installations and air loads and equivalent strength analysis background is a plus. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, mentor less experienced personnel, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

This Position must have the ability to provide the following tasks:

+ Provide valuable technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems;

+ Perform in all phases of hardware development, integration / implementation and analysis;

+ Participate in hardware evaluations;

+ Perform finite element analysis and modeling;

+ Develop standards and guidelines for tasks being performed.

Position Requirements:

+ Minimum of a BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

+ Seven (7) years of direct experience in a relevant engineering activity

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with MRB related activities

+ Experience working on an ASIP managed platform

+ Rotary Wing (Helicopter) experience
