Class Description

Prepare and teach assigned economics courses in accordance with course outline and published course schedule; assess student progress in each course taught; maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress in assigned courses; seek continuous improvement in student-centered learning and pedagogy; stay current in his/her discipline; maintain scheduled office hours for availability to students; advise students; create a yearly individual professional development plan; participate with other faculty in developing and managing courses, curricula and academic policy; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and others in order to contribute to the success of CCBC as an institution. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per semester, committee work at the department, school, campus, and college level; attendance at department, school, campus, and college level meetings; college/community service; and participation in professional development activities.

Minimum Requirements

Master's degree in Business Administration required with a concentration in accounting or finance preferred or Master's degree in Economics required. A minimum of two years related industry experience and two years teaching experience in economics, accounting, and/or business related courses at the post-secondary level required. Online teaching experience in these disciplines is preferred.
