Student Equity & Opportunity 200 work days FTE: 1.0 Hourly Range: $20.26 - $24.17 per hour Essential Functions and Objectives: Working under the direction of Student Equity and Opportunity, Instructional Superintendent and relevant school principal, will provide supports to individual students and coaching to school staff.Support building staff to implement specially designed instruction to improve outcomes for students with challenging behavior and provide positive behavior supports.Support school staff in their implementation of behavior intervention plans and provide behavioral supports to students.Coach SE&O paraprofessional staff serving students with behavioral challenges.Model and coach for school staff the use of positive mutli-tiered systems of supports and replacement strategies/re-direction when implementing positive behavior supports and supporting students.Consult with the school’s problem-solving process to improve outcomes for students with behavioral challenges.Attend appropriate in-services training and required meetings.Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.Computer proficiency preferred.Effective skills in time and people management.Effective skills in conflict resolution.Understanding of, and sensitivity to, various cultures and issues.Respect of confidentiality and integrity to students as a district official.Ability to be flexible with schedule and workday.Ability to travel among school locations.A valid Colorado driver’s license and car with appropriate insurance.Bilingual in Spanish, preferred. Education Requirements:Completion of Associate’s or BA/BS Degree in education, special education, child development, psychology or related field, or 1 – 3 years of related experience
