SEWSTexas Customer Service Center (San Antonio, TX) Customer Relations Specialist I-II A brief description This position will act as a primary window person and first point of contact for customers in Production Control, Project Management & Purchasing departments. Obtain customer information, forecasts, orders, and requirements to coordinate with other departments to ensure exact delivery, and respond to customer requests and inquiries quickly to provide excellent customer service Job Duties and Responsibilities Act as primary window person for assigned customers in Production Control and Purchasing Departments. Build and maintain good customer relations to ease claim negotiation, negotiate due date extensions, and gain information for future forecasts. Analyze customer forecasts and report changes. Learn, and understand customer vehicle and part number trend. Prepare weekly, monthly, bi-annual, and new model forecasts. Manage all customer orders and supplement request ensuring on-time delivery. Coordinate with internal departments to support customer orders and schedules, to prevent delivery problems and delays. Negotiate with the customer to adjust delivery timing to support SEWS plants and meet customer timing. Monitor inventory at warehouse to meet customer demand using internal reports, systems, and communications. Coordinate internally any inventory shortages, and ensure timely arrival to meet customer demand. Coordinate with 3rd party warehouse contractor to ensure 100% on-time delivery. Coordinate, communicate, and track new model start-up; issue new model information, trial orders and order forecasts, monitor trial part arrival, negotiate due date delays as needed working with internal departments, and monitor inventory. Expedite and manage the resolution of customer complaints and issues. Negotiate claims for obsolescence and other issues Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required, Business Management/Supply Chain Management or similar study preferred 1-5 years minimum experience in production and/or material planning and warehouse operations, sequential manufacturing, and scheduling Strong data analysis, attention to detail, and time management skills Strong interpersonal and customer interface skills Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel) Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Knowledge of the effective manufacture and distribution of finished goods, primarily in the Automotive IndustryAbout Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.To learn more about us, please visit www.sewsus.com.
