Job Title: Help Desk

Job Summary:

The IT Account Administrator position creates Active Directory accounts for new users and administers access to security groups, distribution lists and file shares. Acts as a backup technical support resource as demand dictates.

Essential Job Functions:
• Creates Active Directory accounts in accordance with IT policy
• Maintains and creates distribution lists and mailboxes in MS Exchange
• Disables AD accounts for employee separations and scrub security group memberships
• Performs assigned tasks relating to maintaining information in Active Directory accounts
• Communicates changes made in AD and Exchange to appropriate groups
• Researches and documents new processes and best practices for the Account Administration team
• Creates employee ID badges
• Follows up on tickets and predefined intervals until resolved

Secondary Job Functions:
• Performs all core helpdesk functions as needed to provide back-up to Helpdesk
• Assists users via remote assistance application
• Troubleshoots basic functions of users workstations and Citrix sessions

Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Solid knowledge and understanding of IT operating systems, particularly Windows, Exchange and Citrix
• Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT best practices
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT security concepts

Required Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalency degree
• 2 to 4 years of experience in corporate/internal helpdesk environment
• Demonstrated experience with analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and making solid business decisions
• Demonstrated experience producing accurate and detailed work on multiple projects under time pressure
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data
• Demonstrated experience communicating with all levels of management
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
• Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, time management, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
• Demonstrated experience discussing complex business and technology issues with business users and customers

Physical Environment:
• This position is primarily an in office position
• Normal office environment
