Senior Financial Analyst

An industrial company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This is a direct hire role and the ideal candidate has strong relevant experience and is communicates effectively!

Location: Kingwood, TX

Salary: $80,000-$90,000

• Analyze financial and operational information to measure performance of Projects, Regions, Cost Centers, and Product Lines
• Develops and maintains processes, reports, and graphs to communicate data to senior managers
• Maintains accurate revenue and cost recognition of various orders for equipment sales, long-term projects, time and materials, and part sales
• Supports development of accounting and reporting processes and procedures
• Uses knowledge of accounting and systems to improve operational and financial effectiveness for company projects
• Develop and prepare management reports and analysis to determine and explain profitability of projects and service jobs compared to budget and forecasts
• Develop and maintain relevant metrics to measure performance of regions and product lines
• Manage all phases of project accounting function
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist in monthly closing process and financial reporting process
• Maintain construction in process reports
• Assist in annual budgeting for region and corporate departments
• Prepare and review schedules, documentation, and support related to audits
• Implement continuous improvements to ERP systems

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
• Experience working for a manufacturing or industrial company is preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience and strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience working with ERP software products
• Experience with POC revenue recognition
• Experience with IFRS reporting standards preferred
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work collaboratively with employees at all levels
