JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Data Analysis : Abstracts and codes information from patient medical records to obtain clinical research data using established classification systems. Responsible for interactive quality review of abstracted data. Assigns and enters information into coded form.
Quality Compliance : Abstracts data adhering to institutional guidelines which are used internally and to maintain compliance with state and accreditation requirements. Supports integration of compiled information into existing databases, for quality review and accreditation requirements.
Collaboration with Others : Compiles information about specimens from laboratory information system. Works with institutional teams to improve collection, curation and quality review of the database.
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of experience in tumor registry, healthcare, or related field. Additional years of education may be substituted for required experience on a one to one year basis.
