The Vice President of Specialist Operations has An integral role as the leader of the regional team that analyzes industry trends and provides detailed oversight and sophisticated actionable solutions to senior leadership that incorporate all key management areas (talent, clinical, financial, and operations) for advancing American Health Networks vision for specialty care Indiana and Ohio. This role will be accountable for leading the development and execution of the operational and growth strategy that supports our strategic vision, growth initiatives and leadership principles. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong business, financial, and operational acumen within the healthcare industry. Specialist Operational experience is preferred.
Essential Functions
+ Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches, as well as translating highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
+ Actualize OptumCare's core strategy of building of physician-led, value-based, ambulatory care delivery systems by developing and maintaining a "quadruple-aim" specialist provider network.
+ Recommends, develops and assists in the strategic long-range planning process as it relates to all clinic departments in support of the clinics' mission, philosophy and goals.
+ Evaluates and makes recommendations for business development and expansion opportunities within assigned territories.
+ Oversees the implementation of all expansion projects within assigned territories.
+ Provides leadership and mentoring to management staff in establishing department objectives related to staffing, policies and procedures.
+ Works collaboratively with leadership in the development and governs the annual budget for the clinic operations area and implements plans to achieve budgetary goals..
+ Monitors compliance of all clinic metrics (Customer Service, Membership, Retention, etc.)
+ Provides continual process improvement including all clinic processes and/or services.
+ Ensures all operational services meet regulatory and quality standards.
+ Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to remain current in the changing healthcare trends as related to management of clinic operations.
+ Use own proven domain / industry expertise to balance competing priorities in a multi-stakeholder environment
+ Possess a good understanding of the healthcare industry from a physician, health plan, and hospital perspective
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS
+ Applies supervisory responsibilities according to organizational policies and applicable laws.
+ Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; evaluates and manages employee performance; addresses complaints and resolves employee issues.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field required.
+ Ten or more years of experience with increasing management responsibility within clinic operations required.
+ A strong understanding of clinic financials with the ability to analyze operations and continually implement efficient operational processes required.
+ Strong business acumen and proven strategic leadership skills required
