Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit organization offering a range of services for people of all ages and at any stage of serious illness. We've been providing comfort and care to the seriously ill and their families in the greater Kansas City area since 1980.

By providing both hospice and palliative care, we are able to assist patients and their loved ones at any time following a serious diagnosis. Hospice is provided when the focus is primarily on comfort; palliative care is provided when it is too early for hospice care and the patient may be seeking treatment aimed at cure.

One of our goals at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is to ensure that our patients remain comfortable in their final months. Volunteer massage therapists can help by relieving pain and promoting restful sleep for homebound and terminal patients.

Professional volunteers must maintain appropriate licensure for their area of expertise, attend a short orientation to hospice and provide their services 2-4 times a month.

We especially are in need of massage therapists willing to travel to Kansas City, KS, Bonner Springs, Olathe, Gardner, Independence, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit or Grandview.

Kansas City Hospice and Palliative care is a nonprofit organization which provides medical and nursing care for patients facing advanced illnesses, as well as emotional and spiritual support for patients and their families.
