As a Kitchen Stewards- Dishwasher, you are responsible for maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen areas of our resorts. You will perform a variety of tasks designed to ensure that guests receive clean and spotless china, silverware and glassware and the culinary team clean kitchen equipment. The duties you perform are essential to the success of our culinary venues. Breakdown, load, unload, catches, and properly sorts all dishes, glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish area. Wash, sort, and store pots in their proper location on shelves, larger items on the bottom shelves Loads dish washing solutions into automatic dispensers and regulates the output of detergents and chemicals to the dish washing machine by monitoring and adjusting controls. Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards. Sweep and mop all floors and wash all floor mats. Separate and remove trash, garbage and place in designated containers and steam cleans and hoses out garbage cans Polish silver, copper and brass in all areas, as needed. Regular transport of equipment such as hot and cold box, speed racks, Queen Mary, push carts from hallways to deliver to other outlets and facilities. Unloads clean dishes from racks after being processed through dish machine, inspects for cleanliness and carefully stacks in specified carts and shelves Perform other job-related duties as requested Required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Excellent customer service skills. Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. Professional appearance and demeanor. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent Six (6) months of related kitchen experience Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
