Position Description

The primary
work location for this position is at the Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) Southwest Campus and requires one day a week at
the JCTC Downtown campus. Occasional travel may be required to the UofL Belknap Campus and UPS facilities.

position is responsible for serving as the main contact for current and prospective students of the Metropolitan College program and
provides information about the policy and procedures of the program. Counseling skills are implemented to assist students in understanding
how to successfully integrate academic, work, and personal responsibilities. Furthermore, this position educates students regarding
successful career planning and connects students to resources helpful in obtaining individual academic and career goals. To achieve these
goals, this position must work closely with constituents from corporate partners, educational partners, and the community.

In addition to the responsibilities shared by the Student Development Counseling Team, this position provides leadership and is
responsible for the outcomes in the following areas including, but not limited to: coordinating MC Financial Aid requirements by serving as
a liaison to the JCTC and UofL Financial Aid offices; coordinating communication with JCTC and UofL Bursar Offices regarding participant
semester eligibility status; and overseeing and evaluating targeted services for MC academic stop-outs. This position will also serve as a
CREW Career Center Counselor by providing in-center counseling; providing feedback for JCTC on-line resume drop box; and contributing to the
coordination and implementation of CREW events.

This position will instruct MC cohort First-Year Experience courses (FYE
105) at JCTC to support institutional retention goals and MC program retention. This position will implement academic advising and
counseling to identify high risk students and to promote academic persistence toward graduation. Furthermore, this position will provide
overall coordination of MC staff development activities to build staff morale, present new policies and procedures, improve student
services, and increase awareness of available resources and services for MC staff and students.
