On Time Talent Solutions is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Supervisor to review the release of information to persons and agencies according to regulations as well as manage day-to-day activities, establish work schedules, and delegate assignments for medical record staff.

Health Information Management (HIM) Lead Responsibilities:
• Supervise HIM departmental staff, including assisting with hiring processes, providing training and development support for staff, conducting performance reviews, and approving timecards
• Audit external HIM service vendors (Record Storage, and Records Scanned) to ensure they maintain contractual agreements and report variances as presented
• Author, implement and maintain written policies and procedures related to HIM related to scanning/archiving, processing, analyzing and reporting information, confidentiality of health information, timely and accurate record completion, release of information
• Maintain current knowledge of HIPAA and best practices regarding medical records
• Responsible for testing and rollout of new versions/upgrades and builds on EHR system to gain efficiencies
• Perform HIM technical support functions as required

Health Information Management (HIM) Lead Qualifications:
• Associate's degree in Health Information Management or a similar field
• 4 years of experience working in health information management
• Knowledge of Joint Commission (TJC) standards, federal and state regulations and hospital policies and procedures in regards to medical record documentation
• Working knowledge of medical records, file systems, chart completion, personnel management and records management
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Certification required
