Leadership:
Leads the Community Ministry Department
Set priorities and direct the departmental activities to achieve identified community health needs
Develop and manage departmental budget
Develop goals and objectives
Lead programs tto achieve identified initiatives
Evaluate mentor and suport co-workers

Planning:
Coordinate the Development of Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) and Plans
Represent Mercy West Community Ministry to the Mercy Health Ministry
Collaborate with West Community leaders to identify key community organizations
Support West Community leaders in developing their CHNAs and Plans
Tie CHNA and Plans with Community Master Plans
Implementation:
Coordinate the development and implementation of key initiatives defined in the CHNA and Plan
Serve as the Community Ministry leader to the West Community Health Improvement Council
Collaborate with community agencies
Implement specific programs

Community Benefits:
Coordinate West Community Benefit data collection and reporting

Community Collaboration:
Represent Mercy West Community Ministry in the OKC region
Engage Rural hospitals in Community Ministry collaboration
Partner with community organizations to meet the identified needs
Support rural hospitals in identifying and connecting with local community resources and agencies
Steward Community Resources
Identify and obtain grants
Collaborate with West Community Philanthropy grant-writing
Administer grants in accordance with requirements and Mercy values
Advocate for the needs of co-workers and the community
Participates on the West Community Advocacy Committee
Coordinate Mercy Care Co-worker Fund requests
Lead Mercy Community Ministry Co-worker Committee

Qualifications:

Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

Education: Master's degree in social services, education, community health or related field.
Experience: Experience in administrative management, program planning, community organizing, and communication is preferred along with experience in human relations with good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience: Five years experience in a setting commensurate to social services, community resources, and/or adult education. Demonstrated experience in program planning, community organizing, public speaking and administrative responsibilities.
