We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable individual to join the team as an Events Coordinator. The Events Coordinator is responsible for the successful coordination of different events, including planning menus, putting up decorations, ordering flowers and ensuring the event runs smoothly. Individual will be ensuring deadlines and budgets are met

Job Type:

Full time/Part time, hourly position. Must be available weekdays and weekends, holidays and various shifts. Must adjust the schedule to meet business demands. Jobs within the restaurant and catering industry are synonymous with having varied schedules and a fast-paced environment.

Use products and services knowledge, information and available resources to educate guests and assist them in making product selections that are right for them

Coordinate details of events such as conferences, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, surprise parties, sales meetings and business meetings

Coordinate interdepartmental activities. Work together with management, floral, meat, deli and bakery departments to ensure products are available and prices are accurate

Calculate budgets and needs of the guest, and adjust when necessary

Work with guests to ensure all requests are met

Define company brand through events

Set up booths, flowers, decorations, and other event decor

Support the events manager with the menu planning and ordering food

Sample food, including main dishes and desserts

Create and contribute to an environment that is geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and guest service

Act as a resource to department managers and staff on matters pertaining to improving efficiency and guest services

Maintain excellent relationships with Store Directors and event staff

Analyze industry trends and understand competitive products in order to position product offering accordingly

Understand “Our Mission” and live “Our Core Values” daily

Facilitate coordination and communication between store and corporate support

Establish and nurture relationships with related businesses, schools and communities

Other duties as required



- Requires hospitality and exceptional people skills

2-5 years of experience in event planning and catering is strongly preferred

Must be able to deliver excellent guest service

Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills required

Exceptional communicator with verbal and written skills

Highly developed organization skills

Able to operate independently

Must be diligent and quality-driven in regards to cleanliness and safety

Event coordinator needs to remain calm during crisis and the high pressure of an event in progress

Energetic, self-motivated and detail oriented

Demonstrated trustworthiness and integrity in daily activities

Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Creativity, flexibility, and an entrepreneurial spirit that enable partnering with every culture, team member, support center level leadership, individual Store Directors, Vendors and Guest! (aka. Customer).
