The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) position is designed to assist in collaborating and coordinating the activities between the customer and the designated Crothall laundry operations.
The SAM goals include: excellent customer satisfaction, customer retention, increased product line opportunities, inventory management, documentation & reporting and supporting the Crothall Laundry operations, delivery and administrative teams.
- A resource, educator, trainer, and problem solver between each client/customer and Crothall’s management team to ensure that all aspects of the linen program are consistently achieved.
-Customer relationship integration at multiple levels to include issues related to quality, customer service, product utilization, billing and collection monitoring, analytics & information systems between Crothall and the customer’s facilities.
-Focus areas: Inventory management, linen par levels and implementing Crothall’s Linen Cost Management systems and procedures.
-Reports directly to the General Manager. Healthcare institutions we serve are 24x7; must address customer issues promptly and follow up is critical.
-Educate and provide in-service training to customers in all relevant areas of Crothall’s linen program. This objective will be achieved through liaisons with each customer's key contacts in areas such as Supply Chain, Nursing, EVS and/or Linen Distribution.
-Linen Committee (set-up and coordinate)
-Linen Cost Management expertise
-Linen Awareness Day coordination and fulfillment
-Linen Opportunity & Impact Study utilization
-Par level analysis and adjustments as necessary (ongoing)
-Physical inventory coordination and ordering
-Infection control knowledge
-Coordinate with the Infection Control Practitioners from each hospital system to ensure that Crothall’s laundry is in compliance with the accounts Hospital's Infection Control Plan and surpassing any applicable State regulations
-Implement the Crothall Linen Cost Management program of utilization & inventory management
-This position requires training certification on Linen Master which is Crothall’s Route Accounting system for billing and product tracking. This certification will include acquiring key competencies to provide current & historical data for customer and Crothall information needs. The role will require knowledge of customer Service Agreements and working with the GM regarding renewals.
This also includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
-Conducting client audits of billing, inventories and loss.
-Recording visits and interactions at client locations
-Prompt communication of and recording of customer service issues to include problem resolutions
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-The ability to make presentations to groups of varying size
-The ability to deal with the diversity of people from numerous cultures and backgrounds in a professional manner
-The ability to handle multiple priorities in a pressured, fast-paced work environment
-This role represents the company and must be well groomed in appearance
-The ability to maintain customer/company information confidentiality
-The ability to learn technical aspects of the job
-This role must balance customer and provider position and coordinate a service oriented attitude with an operations cognizance
-Possess a motor vehicle driving record acceptable to Crothall/Compass Policies & Procedures
-Ability to travel with overnight stays up to an estimated 20% of the time
-Minimum of two years college education or previous account management experience
