Description:

The Injection Molding Engineer is a technical manufacturing engineering position responsible for supporting all facets of the injection molding process. Key job functions include technical leadership within the organization, quality troubleshooting, establishing processes and machine set-up for new product lines, and ongoing support of continuous improvement projects, injection molding automation projects, and E-Dart sensors/systems implementation projects. • Provide molding manufacturing expertise to all business units. • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts related to molded products, processes, and equipment. • Troubleshoot process, tooling, or equipment-related issues to ensure production and quality efficiencies. • Support lean initiatives in the molding department. • Track and respond to standards/efficiency deviations. • Review all Engineering Change Notice (ECNs) to ensure successful molding operations. • Create manufacturing work instructions. • Support and provide back-up to other member of the molding engineering team. • Participate in additional assignments/projects as business needs evolve. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent. • 3-5 years hands-on technical experience in an injection molding environment. • Experience with high-quality nylon molded parts. • Knowledge of scientific molding and technical leadership skills. • Green or Black Belt Certification in Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma Preferred
