The North Carolina Justice Center, is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for the fundraising activities of the NC Justice Center. He/she must be organized, efficient, collaborate well with a passionate and fun staff, and able to handle multiple projects. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Deputy Director of Gifts and Endowments.

Our organization comprises of projects that provide in-depth expertise on seven major policy areas. Our staff of researchers, community educators, litigators, public policy advocates, and communications specialists use our unique five-strategy approach to improve the lives of North Carolinians with low incomes.
This important position provides broad administrative support, including data entry, data clean up, and running reports in the donor database; researching contact list as needed; maintaining correspondence with existing and prospective donors in a timely and professional manner; helping prepare for meetings with donors, including reserving conference space, ordering food, preparing materials, setting-up and breaking down equipment and preparing meeting space; assisting with the coordination of fundraising events and activities for the NCJC, including vendor research and coordinating logistics; posting events in coordination with the communications team, including email marketing, social media, website updates, and special projects; assisting with the production of invitations for events, including ordering of supplies, preparing mailing lists and coordinating the mail house distribution; tracking grant proposals and reports and provide administrative support to NCJC managers/Executive Director with grant proposal materials and filing; maintain development supplies; and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to social justice and enjoy contributing to a great mission by supporting the work of others. He/she will have two years of administrative experience preferably working in non-profit development. Successful applicants will be exceptionally organized while juggling competing demands, possess unfailing attention to detail and have a strong customer service orientation. He/she will be proficient in MS Word (including mail merge), Excel, and Outlook, have experience in working with databases. Salsa and/or VAN database experience preferred. Ability to travel and work some evenings and weekends required; generally, not more than once a month
