Administers day to day operations and maintenance for providing stable and functional Information Technology support services to Health. Directly responsible for carrying out the IT Department strategy of proactive planning, management and leadership through Capacity Planning, Configuration Management, Operations, Technology Management Systems, Information Technologies, etc. Prepares proposals, cost/benefit analyses, and feasibility studies. Provides liaison support between Network Support Team and other Teams as needed. Position Accountability * Know, understand, incorporate and demonstrate the Health Mission, Vision and Values in behaviors, practices and decisions. * Establish standards for products to ensure compatibility with enterprise technical and application architectures. Coordinate the acquisition, installation and testing of product hardware and software. Coordinate hardware and software additions, changes and deletions utilizing Change Management processes and to ensure adherence to industry and Health standards and established Best Practices. * Supervise daily work of Network Support Team Colleagues, including recruitment, selection, retention, counseling, disciplining, and termination of Colleagues when necessary. * Develop project plans and lead projects. Supervise project staff. * Evaluate, negotiate and monitor purchase and service agreements to maximize cost effectiveness of vendor contracts. * Provide hardware and software training, including network communication, documentation, and other reference materials for the Network Support Team, Information Technology department and customers as appropriate, to ensure knowledgeable and productive customers. * Provide technical guidance, consulting support and complex problem resolution to Information Technology and Colleagues regarding information technology, including the evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies. Create and maintain technical documentation. * Participate in development and implementation of annual goals and objectives, and tactical plans to achieve strategic planning initiatives. Establish and implement policies, procedures and standards to ensure conformance with Network Support Team, Technology Support, Information Technology department, and Health objectives. * Perform information technology installation, configuration and administrative functions as needed. Utilize systems management software to analyze capacity and monitor performance. Manage communications, troubleshoot problems. * Designing, researching, selection, evaluation, implementation, documentation, operation, support and maintenance of all devices used in the enablement of data communications. * Perform communications and infrastructure wiring, use administrative tools to monitor information technology equipment. * Other duties as assigned. * Serves as a role model for consistent demonstration of Customer Service Behavioral Standards of Performance, by respecting the Privacy and Confidentiality of those we serve. * Demonstrates knowledge and respects patient, service provider and organizational confidentiality and HIPAA Security procedures and protocols as defined under the HIPAA Privacy and Security Procedures. * Follows established HIPAA privacy procedures when using and/or disclosing Protected Health Information (PHI). * Maintains and protects patient's rights under the HIPAA Privacy standards. * The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills of personnel so classified. Position Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Information Systems, Information Services, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Network Technology, etc.) - 5 years of related experience may be substituted for some or all education.
